Elliott has been nominated for a Grammy for Best Spoken Word Comedy and was the runner up behind Ellen DeGeneres' in SHOWTIME's Funniest Person in America Contest. After that he spent several years protecting the fine citizens of his community as a Police Officer, but soon realized the free coffee at the local gas station does not justify low pay, dodging bullets and long hours. The roughest transition from cop to stand up comedy was having to return his mustache. Much to his surprise, they let him keep the haircut. Since leaving the badge behind, Brad has made a name for himself in Kansas City where he regularly works and from those feature and headlining sets has produced him work throughout the United States. He used his distinctive observational style and true to life experiences into work at corporate events and colleges University of Kansas, Kansas State University, University of Arkansas and worked with numerous national touring acts. Brad was also selected to compete in Season 2 of Comcast TV's Trial by Laughter. Unlike his mustache, his act is not one to miss! #standup #comedy #afunnierplace

When he isn't in court, he is a familiar face in Kansas City's flourishing comedy scene. Jim performs often around town and the surrounding Missouri and Kansas area. In January of 2016, Jim was named as a finalist in the Kansas City Improv's Clash of the Comics, where the area's best and brightest compete for bragging rights.
