Making the world a funnier place,
one film at a time.
Patrick Poe (Founder, IX Productions)
Patrick has been directing since his high school days. His theatre resume is extensive, and includes everything from leading roles to costume to makeup to lighting design to set building. You name it, he's done it. His first introduction to film was shooting and editing skate videos.
Patrick and Lolo first worked together on a 48 Hour film competition. Since then, he has worked on "Intermission," IX's first film, as an editor and assistant director, and on "Mr. Lee," which he co-wrote with Lolo, starred in and edited.
In 2015, Patrick made his debut as a film director with "She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not" a comedy he wrote inspired loosely by his college years. He also co-wrote and co-directed the family comedy "Zoink", and is working as production designer, DP, and starring in IX's film adaption of "A Midsummer Night's Dream".
Patrick is currently working as a writer, director and producer on IX's other upcoming feature films, and is directing and co-writing IX's new comedy webseries "Group". View episode one now here.
Patrick has been with IX, the company founded by himself and Lolo, since its birth. He is a native of Kansas City.
When not making films, Patrick hosts the interview-style podcast, "Indies on Indie", in which he sits down with independent artists of all genres. Listen now on iTunes, SoundCloud, and Youtube.
Lolo Loren (Founder, IX Productions)
Lolo has been writing, filming and editing since she was twelve. She has shot and edited over 70 short films and has worked behind the scenes on 9 feature films, five of which were produced by IX.
Lolo had her debut as a feature film director in 2012 with "Intermission," the dark comedy that started IX on its path to making the world a funnier place. Since then she has worked as writer, director and editor on "Mr. Lee," another dark comedy, as a producer and editor on the romantic comedy "She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not", co-directed and co-wrote the family comedy "Zoink," and directed and produced a film adaption of William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". She is also co-writing and producing "Group", IX's new webseries.
Both "William Shakspeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "Zoink" are currently being submitted to the film festival circuit.
Lolo is responsible for the conception of IX, the production company founded by herself and her partner in crime, Patrick Poe.
Lolo has lived all over the country, having called over 30 places home, but currently resides in Kansas City. She is currently promoting "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and filming "Group", and in pre-production on two other feature films and a new webseries, titles to be released soon.
